So far so good. Great trail to downtown Winter Park. Plenty of campsites next to the river.
Great campsites. Close to winter park (the town and resort. Bring a bike and you can ride the trail to town. The hosts were very polite in our few interactions. The only bad part is the highway which isn't busy and the train that goes past at night.
Very beautiful and convenient location as it's about a mile from the town of Winter Park. We stayed there to go down hill mountain biking at Trestle. Good food near by in Winter Park and Fraser if you don't want to cook. The only con of the convenient location is the noise from passing cars and the train at night. I would stay again if I could find a site further away from the main road. We stayed at campsite no. 10.
Very convenient location as far as being near Winter Park. Everything was very clean and well organized. I'm giving it four stars because of the loud highway noise and the trains that go by in the middle of the night.
Location is unbelievably close to WP/ Trestle. I stayed here for two nights in the middle of July. The large trees make for an easy escape from the heat. Also having the river nearby was nice. Since I got there kind of late the first day I had to make camp at spot 7. Most of the spots in the upper level are are very close to the highway. You will hear a lot of road noise. Not very relaxing. Next time I will try to get there earlier in the day or before the weekend crowd and try to get something by the river. The sound of the water rushing by would be way nicer to fall asleep to. The camp grounds were clean and there are plenty of restrooms located throughout the property. They also have wildlife proof boxes to keep your food secure if you need that. Overall my experience was great. I will definitely return. The host was very nice and there is firewood available to buy. I have this campground 4 stars simply because the highway/traffic noise was too loud and I wasn't prepared for it.
